TITLE: Development Manager

 

SUPERVISOR: Vice President, Development & Community Affairs

JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

Under the direction of the Vice President of Development and Community Affairs, the Development Manager will support CFCArts’s fundraising efforts by managing the company’s annual fund solicitations, donor database, and supporting special events. CFCArts is seeking a driven, highly organized individual with strong writing and interpersonal skills, the ability to manage data, and a desire for a career in arts fundraising. This role manages the contracted Grants Administrator and reports to the Vice-President of Development & Community Affairs.

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

 

  • In partnership with the Vice President of Development and Community Affairs, design and execute long-range and immediate fundraising plans
  • Meet fundraising goals in corporate, foundation, private and government support
  • Oversee Moves Management: identify and cultivate individual donors from CFCArts’s patron/member pool
  • Accept, record, and acknowledge donations 
  • Maintain donor database to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Design, generate, and maintain regular reports on donor activity
  • Execute direct appeal fundraising campaigns (including the United Arts Collaborative Campaign)
  • Execute stewardship and benefits plans for donors of all levels
  • Support and attend fundraising special events and donor receptions
  • Work with Marketing in creating print materials for development projects and donor communications
  • Work with contracted Grants Administrator to oversee grant and sponsorship applications, compliance, reporting and data tracking

 

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • 2+ years experience in nonprofit fundraising environment (performing arts preferred)
    • Desire to build a career in nonprofit fundraising 
    • Excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent organizational, writing, customer service, and communications skills
  • Strong data management and analysis skills
  • Experience with donor management software (PatronManager/Salesforce preferred)

 

COMPENSATION

Salary range: $34,000 – $44,000 DOE
