Art31 is a big fan of Central Florida’s Main Sreet Initiatives! Patrons who are shopping and dining in some of our greatest neighborhoods just might see Art31 artist Jason Hackenwerth’s Wearable Sculptures. This portale version of his latex balloon installation will pop-up in Audubon Park, Thornton Park and College Park.
Recognized by museums, galleries, and the arts media for his sculptural latex balloon installations across the world, Jason Hackenwerth is a past receipting of a Pollack-Krasner grant and has received acclaim throughout the international art world for his work at Art Basel and many museums from New York to Edinburgh.
Produced by the Art & History Museums – Maitland, Art31 focuses on the creation of new site specific art and the legacy of the A&H’s Maitland Art Center to engage both artists and participants. Enjoy thirty-one days of experimentation and collaboration throughout March 2016, at Central Florida’s only National Historic Landmark. It’s unlike anything else in Florida!
