Known internationally as a preeminent glass artist, Dale Chihuly’s works capture the imagination with their inspired, organic forms. His work is included in more than 200 museum collections worldwide.  Lorrie Fredette

Hudson Valley-based artist Lorrie Fredette creates site-specific installations inspired by current medical and environmental news stories; Fredette has a BFA in sculpture from Indiana University and exhibits her work across the US. Fredette’s work in paper will crawl across the walls and ceilings of gallery 2. Jason Hackenwerth

Recognized by museums, galleries, and the arts media for his sculptural latex balloon installations across the world, Jason Hackenwerth will be transforming gallery 3 with his organic and biological forms utilizing hundreds of balloons.  Hackenwerth studied the Savannah College of Fine Art, Savannah, GA and Webster University, St. Louis, MO. He is a past receipting of a Pollack-Krasner grant and has received acclaim throughout the international art world for his work at Art Basel and many museums from New York to Edinburgh. Paige Smith
March 4 – May 1, 2016

Los Angeles artist Paige Smith is a multi-disciplinary artist and designer noted for her “Urban Geode” street project. Made of paper and resin, Smith installs small sculptures resembling geodes into the nooks and crannies of buildings, walls, and abandoned spaces across the U.S.  For her first project in the Southeast, Smith will create site-specific installations outdoors throughout the Maitland Art Center’s National Landmark campus. These unexpected installations will build on the Maitland Art Center campus’ existing sense of magic and discovery and further enhance its fantasy architecture.
