A collection of more than 40 artworks by Puerto Rican Artists will be showcased from December 14, 2019 to February 7, 2020 in New Concept Barbershop and Art Gallery

“Keepers of Heritage” and New Concept Barbershop and Art Gallery, are very proud to present the exhibition “Borikén Habla: Gráfica de ayer y hoy”. This presentation is the product of the collaboration of collectors Ramón Papo Rosario and Angel Rafael Rosado; who for more than thirty years have dedicated themselves to work hand in hand in favor of Puerto Rican art. The important participation of a select group of contemporary artists is highlighted in this exhibition. The resentation will include a selection of works executed by leading artists who have performed successfully in the different media of the graphic’s as woodcut, lithography, intaglio and screen printing.
Borikén Habla: Grafica de ayer y hoy presents works produced by Master artists who belonged to the Divion of Community Education since the 1950’s, to Artists of the current era who have adopted the graphic’s as part of their artistic endeavor.
The collection of works includes 40 pieces, by internationally recognized Artists. Visitors will appreciate the cultural expressions, historical representations, and abstract images. Borikén Habla will offer a panoramic view of the great contribution that Puerto Rican artists have made yesterday and today; making visible the identity of those who share the origin of the island of Borikén.
The exhibition opens on Saturday, December 14 at 7:00 pm to February 7, 2020 at the gallery located at 12427 S. Orange Blossom Trail in Southchase Village in Orlando, Florida: as part of this presentation, Master Jose M. Feliciano has designed a digital graphic in homage to the Puerto Rican people who fought to achieve the resignation of the governor of Puerto Rico on July 24, 2019.
