Celebration Foundation Concert Series

“Centered around Amanda Platt’s country/soul vocals, The Honeycutters third studio album, Me Oh My, has a back porch string band sound that will make you want to drive all the way to their hometown of Asheville, NC, just to hang out with them a while, shoot the breeze, and share your stores of long-lost love.  The songs are poignant without being sappy, realistic without being grim, and somehow ultimately hopeful.” Calvin Powers, American Music

The Honeycutters, one of the featured artists of the Celebration Foundation Concert Series, will be taking the stage on Saturday, March 19, 2016 in Celebration.  They reflect the more diverse offerings the Concert Series has offered in the last year to include other genres of music our audience has requested.

The Series is set to launch the 14th season on Friday, December 11, 2015 with a Christmas Concert performed by the Brass Band of Central Florida.

Eric Jacobsen, already a favorite in Celebration since he performed with Brooklyn Rider, will be back in town as the conductor of the Orlando Philharmonic on Sunday, January 24, 2016 when they will perform Beethoven’s Eroica & Piano Concerto #5 (Emporer)) with pianist Danill Tsvetkov.

Concerts featuring the Florida Symphony Youth Orchestra and a Big Band Concert are also in the works.

For more information on the Series and sponsorship information please contact The Foundation at 407-566-1234. All of the concerts will be performed at Community Presbyterian Church in Celebration.
