Orange County Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Initiative & Orange County Public School System invite you to the “First Annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Art Contest”!

Introducing  January’s Art in the Atrium Exhibit

The Orange County Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Initiative and Orange County Public School System invites you to visit the First Annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Art Contest!

The overall mission of the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Initiative is to celebrate and recognize Dr. King’s legacy through programs, which promote unity, diversity and connectivity. Increasing awareness while engaging cultural differences breeds a sense of growth and cohesiveness. Honoring Dr. King’s contribution to humanity as a community is a true reflection of Orange County’s mission and vision to be diverse.

Through the Initiative’s Education & Literacy and Community Engagement efforts, students can express their creative thoughts about Dr. King through artwork. The designs and images should also be reflective of the influential leader’s life. Both parents and teachers are strongly encouraged to help students gain inspirational and imaginative ideas that represents Dr. King and his views on diversity, equality, and unity.

The exhibit will be on display in the Orange County Administration Center’s Atrium Gallery Monday through Friday 8am to 5:30pm from Tuesday, January 10, 2023 through Friday, January 27, 2023 with the exception of County Holidays.
