Youths perform a new play comprised entirely of their own creative writings, spoken word, rap, poetry, prose, and dance. We confront topics which may typically be considered “taboo” in order to promote dialogue on social issues from varied perspectives and increase the awareness of universality of human struggles across gender, age, race, and language barriers. Content may include such sensitive subjects as homelessness, domestic abuse, surviving suicidal thoughts, etc. This production will be the culmination of a 4 month devised theatre improvisation workshop series in partnership with Exodus United, a non-profit arts in education organization benefiting at-risk youth in central Florida.
