Experiment with printmaking by making eco-inspired tote bags from all kinds of recycled materials! Our interactive Telephone Museum, Maitland History Museum, and contemporary art gallery will be free of charge for your family to explore as well.
Inspired by A&H’s founder, J. Andre’ Smith, who was a master printmaker that loved experimenting with art. Today as we celebrate Earth Day, we will be experimenting with printmaking while making eco-inspired tote bags from all kinds of recycled materials!
Printmaking is an artistic process that involves transferring an image from one surface to another. Young apprentice printmakers will experience printmaking with different textures, colors and patterns, all with materials that would normally be thrown away. And, bonus: when we recycle, we do something kind for the earth, too! So come experiment with art and create a one-of-a-kind tote bag that you can use over and over again.
