Celebrate spooky season with a frighteningly fun look at the macabre in art! Together we will discuss panicked paintings, an amazing arachnid, scary skulls and a dancing skeleton thrown in for good measure. Plus, we will explore the haunting possibility that Jack the Ripper may have been an artist.
Featured Artists & Topics – Hieronymus Bosch, Judith Leyster, Dutch Still Life paintings (vanitas), Frida Kahlo, Dia de los Muertos, Edvard Munch, Louise Bourgeois and Walter Sickert.

Adrienne H. Lee is an art historian, writer and artist based in Clermont, Florida. Known as The Wandering Art Historian, Adrienne travels throughout the Central Florida area giving lectures, teaching classes and leading book club discussions on a wide variety of art historical topics. With a museum education background, Adrienne believes that art is for everyone, and she is dedicated to making all aspects of art history accessible and enjoyable.
