Haydn's The Creation

Haydn considered The Creation one of his greatest challenges and most profound accomplishments.

Through the art of music Haydn describes the “chaos” of a non-existent world, the bliss of Adam and Eve, and the humor of a creeping lowly worm. Haydn considered The Creation one of his greatest challenges and most profound accomplishments, even asking God “to grant me the talent needed to praise Him worthily.”
