League of Women Voters Orange County “Hot Topics: Black Resistance” Feb. 8, 11:30 pm Winter Park Events Center explores resistance by Black women, in voting and in the arts.
The League of Women Voters Orange County presents “Hot Topics: Black Resistance” February 8 at 11:30 pm at the Winter Park Events Center,1050 W. Morse Blvd in Winter Park. “Black Resistance” is the 2023 Annual Black History Theme set forth by the Association for The Study of African American Life And History (ASALH). As the Founders of Black History Month, ASALH has encouraged since 1928 the instructive exploration of its annual theme for those interested in the lived experience of people of African descent and race relations in America. “Hot Topics” is funded by Platinum sponsor Climate First Bank.
