MAYS of Lake County Stars & Stripes at Highland Lakes

The Metropolitan Area Youth Symphony (MAYS) of Lake County will take the stage in the Highland Lakes arena for Stars & Stripes: A Musical Celebration of the American Spirit.

Under Artistic Director Michael Miller, the concert will feature all MAYS of Lake County orchestras. The groups will perform a variety of selections from some of history’s greatest composers, as well as some rousing, patriotic American music.

Emerging from the Central Florida Youth Orchestra, MAYS of Lake County features talented student musicians ages 5-22 years old that hail from public, private, and home-schools in the Lake County area.

The concert begins at 7:00pm, Tuesday, March 1st, at the Highland Lakes arena, in Leesburg.  This is the second time Highland Lakes has hosted the MAYS, which is the only youth orchestra program in Lake County. 
 
Tickets are $10 and may be purchased at the door through Highland Lakes; all funds raised will go directly to the orchestra program to provide scholarships for MAYS students. There will also be a reception following the concert.
