Movie Classics on Magnolia presents Creature From The Black Lagoon

Opposites attract with magnetic force in this romantic road-trip delight from Frank Capra.   A spoiled runaway socialite (Claudette Colbert) and a roguish man-of-the-people reporter A strange prehistoric monster lurks in the depths of the Amazonian jungle. An ambitious group of scientists venture underwater to capture the so-called “Gill-Man” and bring him back to civilization for further examination.  The elusive marine beast has other ideas and abducts their sole female member spiriting her off to his mist-shrouded lair.

Major segments of the movie were filmed here in Florida at these locations, Silver Springs, Wakulla Springs, Jacksonville, Green Cove Springs and Marineland.
