RAQUEL: Teatro, Identidad de Género, y Derechos Humanos

Raquel + Pane - Open Scene

A cis Latinx woman loses her transgender partner to police brutality and spends her days trying to find her lover’s body scattered across the desert. Love, transgression, and resilience define this powerful story. Join us for the post-show panel FREE

In our desire to promote freedom, diversity, and inclusion using art to stimulate critical thinking, and with the support of Florida Humanities, we produced “RAQUEL”. Along with scholars and specialists, we will reflect on narration as an exploratory means to work on the relationship between gender identity and human rights. Enjoy this thrilling play and join us for the post-show discussion. FREE ADMISSION. PRODUCED IN SPANISH. ASL INTERPRETER & ENGLISH AUDIO ARE AVAILABLE.
