Ryan Devlin Quintet featuring Gene Perla and Adam Nussbaum
Second generation jazz saxophone phenome Ryan Devlin returns to the Timucua stage with his band of jazz virtuosos including NYC jazz giants Gene Perla (bass) and Adam Nussbaum (percussion); all long-time veterans who have played with the greats!
The Ryan Devlin Quintet are arranging their “Series of Circumstances” US tour for January! Devlin, a second-generation saxophonist and Orlando native, has had a love for music since he was a young child due to his father’s influence. He has played in The Florida All State Jazz band, The Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra, and The Orlando Jazz Orchestra. He was also the 2017 winner of the Central Florida Jazz Society Scholarship.
Devlin is joined by well-established NYC bassist Gene Perla, of the Elvin Jones Jazz Machine and has played/recorded with Nina Simone, Sarah Vaughn, and Sonny Rollins; and the in-demand young pianist Mike Bond. Recently he’s been working with the Jeff Berlin Trio, Woody Herman Orchestra, Kenny Drew Jr. and others; and NYC drummer Adam Nussbaum who has performed with many greats such as Michael & Randy Brecker, Eliane Elias, Gil Evans and Stan Getz.
