“Songs of Hope and Inspiration” is the title of our program highlighting Black History month with a performance by Samone Hicks and Rose Grace. The program will include Art Song Cycles by Black composers, including Nkeiru Okoye, Undine Smith Moore, Florence Price, Adolphus Hailstork, and Samuel Coleridge-Taylor.
The the program consists of absolutely, incredibly beautiful and powerful songs and rarely performed, especially as complete song cycles.
