Summer Institute Level I (Ages 7 to 12)

The Central Florida Vocal Arts’ Summer Institute is dedicated to training the total performer. Institute activities take place at Church on the Drive (formerly College Park Baptist Church) from Monday, June 20th to Saturday, June 25th, 2016. Students are responsible for their own transportation, though assistance in arranging carpools can be provided.

Aspiring performers of varying degrees of experience and genre preferences will grow and refine their skills in this week-long program. Whether a beginner looking for mentorship and guidance or on his or her way to college to study music, the Central Florida Vocal Arts’ Summer Institute is the place for a blossoming performer. At the Central Florida Vocal Arts’ Summer Institute, young actor-singers between the ages of 7 and 12, will learn about all aspects of musical theatre.
Students can look forward to master classes, as well as individual training in the following areas:

Vocal Coachings
Ensemble Rehearsal
Choreography-Dance Classes
Audition Preparation

Stage Craft
Technical Production

The Summer Institute will culminate in a recital Friday afternoon and a full production on Saturday night, the latter incorporating musical numbers from several beloved musical theatre works. Students will audition for roles in these shows and concerts will be open to the public and allow our students the opportunity for both solo and group performance, demonstrating the growth achieved through our program.
