The Premiere Collection* is a celebration of American artistry that will take Central Florida audiences on a journey through the sublime. Four ballets from three notable choreographers create a unique program that includes one world premiere, three Orlando premiere performances and one spellbinding return to the stage. The Premiere Collection opens as the inaugural mainstage production at Harriett’s Orlando Ballet Centre, beginning March 19 through March 28, 2021.
The production will include a concert version of Lambarena—a fusion of classical ballet and African dance by Val Caniparoli, and Jessica Lang’s contemporary masterpiece—Lyric Pieces. Orlando Ballet artistic director Robert Hill will grace the stage to perform Lang’s haunting solo—The Calling. The Premiere Collection culminates with the world premiere of Hill’s production of Visions with music by critically acclaimed composer James M. Stephenson.
