These artists may be gone, but their legacy lives on.
Casselberry City Hall will feature the artwork of several legendary artists that may be gone, but whose work continues to inspire. Including in this amazing exhibit are artists Ralph L. Bagley, Al Carroll, Johann Eyfells, Dorothy Gillespie, Cicero Greathouse, Maury Hurt, and Bill Orr. Each artist left an indelible mark not just on Central Florida arts, but across the country and beyond. With countless successful artists who studied under them, dozens of arts organizations inspired or founded by them, and thousands of original pieces scattered in galleries, museums, and private collections around the globe, the contributions of these artists to arts and culture is immeasurable. The exhibition will kick off with an opening reception on Valentine’s Day, Friday, February 14, from 6-8 p.m., as part of Art & Music in the Park and The Food Truck Bazaar. There will also be a special gallery talk, Saturday, March 7, from 2-4 p.m., including a screening of “Force of Nature,” the documentary about Johann Eyfells.
