Orlando Concert Band

About the Orlando Concert Band

Our Mission: Celebrating and preserving America’s musical heritage through professional-level performances of musical literature for concert band.

Who We Are: The Orlando Concert Band (OCB), founded by Central Florida musicians in 1989, is a 70-member, select wind ensemble that operates as a 501(c)3, not-for-profit, Florida corporation. For more than 30 years, OCB performances have delighted Central Florida audiences at indoor and outdoor concerts that include appearances on formal concert series and at holiday celebrations, art festivals and other community events and celebrations. The Band performs major works from the symphonic band repertoire and a wide variety of traditional, patriotic, contemporary, and popular selections. Our membership includes professional, semi-professional, and amateur musicians, all volunteers, who donate their time and talents to enriching our community through live musical performance.

Our Performances: The Band performs annually as part of several Central Florida concert series: St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in Oviedo, Cathedral Church of St. Luke in Orlando, and Prince of Peace Lutheran Church.  The City of Orlando has chosen OCB to support its annual July 4th Fireworks at the Fountain and the Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony at Lake Eola Park.  The Band is also featured each year at the Woodlawn Cemetery Memorial Day Ceremonies, and at graduation ceremonies for Embry-Riddle Aerona
