Space Coast Oratorio Society

The Space Coast Oratorio Society was formed in 2008, following the passing of the late Dr. Vernon Boushell. For many years Dr. Boushell had produced, directed and conducted annual oratorios at Riverside Presbyterian Church. These concerts had presented many of the finest choral masterworks of Handel, Mendelssohn, Beethoven, and others of the highest rank from the sacred and classical repertoire. Many churches, singers and musicians from various churches along the Space Coast shared their talents in these presentations.The vision of the Space Coast Oratorio Society is to continue Dr Boushell’s legacy — and to further his vision — by continuing to present to the people of Florida’s Space Coast communities music of an enduring and uplifting nature. The facilities of Riverside Church will continue to host these concerts, incorporating the talents of over thirty participating churches, singers, and musicians.We trust you will be nurtured and spiritually uplifted by the beautiful and timeless music of these concerts under the musical and artistic direction of Maestro Aaron Collins.
