Aurora was born in Merida, Venezuela. She received her B.F.A. from the Corcoran College of Art and Design in Washington, DC. Rincon has had numerous solo and group exhibits around the world. Rincon's work centers on the female figure, and concentrates on addressing women's issues. Her work was inspired by the likes of Virginia Woolf and Gertrude Stein. Rincon says, “To be in a room with my figures is not just about enjoying the sculptures and the paintings but experiencing a presence. It is about a feeling of co-existence with me, with every woman, with all women everywhere."
