Paddling Our Wildlife Paradise

"Paddling Our Wildlife Paradise" - celebrates the Merritt Island Wildlife Refuge and its uniqueness. Kayaking through mangrove caves, experiencing bioluminescence, bird-watching, and the joy of seeing turtles, manatees and dolphins in their natural habitats bring visitors and locals into the Indian River Lagoon and the Cape Canaveral National Seashore. This mural can be found on the south wall of Kayaks by Bo. The murals in Titusville were sponsored by the North Brevard Mural Society.

This mural features a green and purple goateed version of the mythological figure Pan, god of shephers and flocks, the son of Hermes and a nymph. He is a depicted as being half human, while having the legs and horns of a goat.

Part of the Big Picture

“Part of the Big Picture” consists of multiple pieces of acrylic on wood panel designed to resemble a jigsaw puzzle in progress. The puzzle includes images of marine life and Florida waterfowl. “My initial influences came from American Pop Art, particularly the appropriated and serially repeated images from popular culture. My process mixes several mediums, as well as stylistic conventions, even within a single work.” – John Wilton

Passion Play Mural

The Lake Wales Amphitheater was constructed in 1952. Every winter the Black Hills Passion Play from Spearfish South Dakota performed here. This was a huge tourism draw and many of our residents regularly volunteered to participate in the play and still have fond memories of this. The play closed in 1998. Sponsored by: Local Citizens

Bill Platt, a Florida resident since 1975 creates paintings and sculptures. He is also a founding of the Mcrae Street Studio. Platt was also a past president and board member of Crealde School of Art. Bill has displayed outdoor sculpture at Disney, Kissimmee and downtown Deland. He has his BA degree from Purdue, MA at Chapman University in California and a PHD from Indiana University. This sculpture is sponsored by Seniors for a Better Community.

This painted traffic control box honors the life and accomplishements of a locally famous stage actor and area resident Paul Wegman.

On this dumpster is painted a woman with stars on her sunglasses or in her eyes shows a peace sign while her red, white, and blue hair fans out and frames her face.

Performance Machine Dyna-Static Forms (Black Tulips)

Category: Outdoor Sculpture ; Water Feature / Fountain

These water-based contemporary sculptures consist of welded sections of metal that have been painted black. Exact dimensions are unknown but each “tulip” is approximately six feet tall by six feet wide. These sculptures can be seen from Magnolia Avenue. Each piece is divided in half and the top half was built to turn – powered by solar energy – creating a different line and shape to the geometric figure.

Pioneer Family

A permanent sculpture in Downtown Kissimmee, The Pioneers have graced the lawn in front of the historic courthouse since 1987. Depicting a Florida pioneer couple and their dog, it's been said of the sculpture that it is a powerful symbol of the strength and teamwork that it took to settle the land.

Pulse Tribute

This beautiful tribute to the Pulse victims is located on at the corner of Mills Ave & Colonial Dr on the iFixYouri store. The mural features 49 birds painted the colors of the rainbow flying over the Pulse logo, and the phrase "you mattered".
