Johann Eyfells is a revolutionary sculptor who was an art professor at the University of Central Florida for over thirty years. He is known to many in Central Florida as the Grandfather of Sculpture. Born in 1923 in Reykjavik, Iceland, he earned a bachelor's degree in architecture in 1953 and later a master's degree in fine art in 1964. Johann began producing abstract sculptures in the 1960's based on his experiments in chemistry and physics, utilizing the various transformational properties of metals, especially aluminum, iron and copper. He has received much recognition throughout his career including an invitation from the government of Iceland to represent his homeland at the 45th Venice Biennale and inclusions in the 9-museum traveling exhibition "What Nature Provides" and the United Nations' "World Artists at the Millenium". Eyefells currently resides in Texas

Reflections of Our Past

"Reflections of Our Past" - Showcases the early industries of fishing, citrus, tourism, the steamships and the railroad. Scenes depict a busily Washington Ave (aka US 1) in the 1930's, the first high school in the area, and one of the first rocket launches with reporter and newspaper man, Bob Hudson. This mural can be seen on the north wall of the North Brevard Historical Museum. The murals in Titusville are sponsored by the North Brevard Mural Society.

Award-winning Orlando artist Mindy Z. Colton, originally from New York City, was classically trained. Mindy has exhibited and won awards in both 2D and 3D media including painting, print making, jewelry, photography, mixed-media and sculpture. Her focus in recent years has been on sculpture in various materials, and large outdoor art. Involved with horses her entire life, she chose to combine her passion for both art and equine in her unique sculptural works.

Dave Thomas is a fine art painter based in Norwalk, CT, specializing in fingerprints. Born into a military family, he traveled the world before studying Studio Art in college. During a year in Florida, he began his experiments with fingerprints. He is now using his fingerprinting technique within portraiture with the fingerprints representing not only the identity but as a metaphor for civilization or mankind. He pairs the shapes with color to create stake symbols with an ominous tone to reflect the way in which he has come to see reality.
