Florida House with Red Chair

Steve Rogers was born in 1947 in New York City. He attended Rollins College in Winter Park and received a bachelor’s degree from Monmouth College in Monmouth, Illinois, in 1969.He studied in New York with artist Harold Stevenson, who would go on to found the prestigious Stevenson Academy of Fine Art, and later with legendary watercolor painter and instructor Robert E. Wood. Rogers has made a career of painting since 1975. 

Rogers’ work is represented in many public and corporate collections including the Florida Senate Collection, National Watercolor Society Permanent Collection, the Orlando Civic Center, Orlando International Airport, Museum of Arts & Sciences in Daytona Beach, and the U.S. Fifth District Courthouse. He also has 18 paintings at Walt Disney World in Orlando and 16 paintings at Euro-Disney in Paris.
