An active artist, Dan Biferie has displayed his photographs in more than 150 exhibitions nationally, including 20 one-person shows. His works have been widely published and are represented in major public collections including the National Museum of American Art, New Orleans Museum of Art, the High Museum and the Bibliotheque Nationale in Paris.
Biferie is chair of the School of Photography at Daytona State College and a senior professor at the Southeast Center for Photographic Studies. He was founding director of the DBCC Gallery of Fine Arts, organizing more than 500 exhibitions, lectures, workshops and seminars during his 12-year tenure. He also played a leading role in the creation of the Southeast Museum of Photography.
